Designed by Traves James Architects for Towncourt Homes, this striking two plot development in the heart of Canford Cliffs in Poole, Dorset is the embodiment of contemporary living. Moving away from 90 degree corners the architects have designed a unique living space incorporating curved and obtuse angled walls. Clad in copper and oak the design is visually stunning. By using the ICF Tech system the architects were able to realise wide unsupported living areas without the need for unsightly down-stand beams or columns.
Just down the road from Brooklyn House are these two stunning modern homes, each one over 2500sqft and complete with full basements. Again the architects worked with ICF Tech to maximise the design by using the structural strength of the ICF walls. Both are clad in thin coat flexible render and brick slips from Banbury Innovations. Using the HouseForm both plots were completed within schedule.
A stunning art deco design consisting of 10 luxury apartments and penthouse with views over the now famous Sandbanks Peninsular. Four-storey construction including an underground car park incorporating 400mm cast concrete floors, the structural design was a challenge easily met by the ICF Tech system. Using the WallForm for the first three floors with the HouseForm to complete the penthouse, Brooklyn House is a testament to the design and structural performance capabilities of the ICF Tech system. Curved walls complete the visual impact of the development. Even with a huge amount of glazing Brooklyn House achieved an energy rating of B.
