For the environment

ICFs are an innovative and sustainable construction solution.  ICFs are more thermally efficient and have superior air infiltration performance compared with virtually all other forms of traditional construction.

Recycled materials – The ICF Tech system has been designed from the outset to use as much recycled material as possible in its construction.  All the extrusions are made from recycled PVC; the webs within the forms are made from recycled polypropylene and all our waste from site is bagged and returned to our central depot for processing.  EPS is 100% recyclable and can be re-used in the plastics industry as a resin or even as an aerator in composts.

Code for Sustainable Homes  - The ICF tech system meets the elemental requirement for the Code for Sustainable Homes levels 3 to 6.  Our walls are capable of 0.19W/m² K down to 0.11W/m² K with small structural footprints, air permeability as low as 0.74m³/m²/hr @ 50Pa measured and superior thermal bridging.

Reduced energy consumption – The ICF tech system can reduce energy consumption enough to eliminate 462kg of CO2 emissions compared to the Target Emission Rate (TER) for a 140m² dwelling – zero!.

Reduced CO2 emissions – Through its thermal and air infiltration performance, ICF construction can significantly reduce the ongoing operational CO2 emissions of buildings, which are responsible for some 50% of the UK’s total CO2 emissions.
